Originally from the small college town of Muncie Indiana, Kristen began singing at the age of 2. At a young age, she performed at various talent shows, churches, special events, National Honors Choir, and sang the National Anthem at many local sporting events. She was cast in her first musical at age 10, as Annie in the musical Annie at Ball State University.
Kristen started classical voice lessons with Dr. Jeffrey Ballard at age 12 and continued training for 7 years. During high school, she performed in various musicals at both Ball State University and Muncie Civic Theatre. After graduating from high school with honors, she started college at Ball State University, where she received top notch vocal, acting, and dance training.
After graduating cum laude from BSU, with a major in Musical Theatre Performance, she moved to Chicago, IL where she began to chase her dreams. She immediately started a once a week gig as a cabaret singer at a bar/restaurant called Cornelia's in Lakeview area. She also performed in various musicals around Chicago, while taking weekly guitar and ukulele classes at the Old Town School of Folk Music.
During her time in Chicago, Kristen frequently teamed up with other musicians to perform at various professional gigs, including parties, weddings, benefits, etc. Kristen's musical versatility came in handy, as she can sing just about any genre, pop, rock, country, folk, jazz, classical, musical theatre, depending on the gig. Kristen met her future husband, Noah, during her time in Chicago.
Kristen, Noah, and their cat, Tinker moved to Ashland Oregon in the spring of 2014. They married on May 29th 2016 in the beautiful Lithia Park in Ashland Oregon. In Kristen's free time, she enjoys singing karaoke and vocally impersonating various singers/celebrities. Currently, she can be found performing in musicals and revues in the Pacific Northwest, as well as singing on numerous recording projects.
